Air duct cleaning is a property-specific service. Before booking, establish which system is involved, why cleaning is recommended and exactly what the written estimate includes.
What does a duct-cleaning estimate include?
Ask whether the quote covers supply and return ducts, registers and grilles, and whether the blower, plenum or coils are separate line items. A room count does not tell you how many systems serve the property. A larger building can also have shared equipment that a tenant cannot authorize alone.
How long will it take, and what changes the price?
Access, system count, duct material and the amount of work all affect the appointment. Provide photographs of accessible equipment and describe stairs, roof access or building restrictions. Request a time window after the scope is established. Compare estimates using the same components rather than the lowest headline price.
Is dryer vent cleaning the same service?
No. A dryer exhaust carries laundry air outside; HVAC ductwork serves heating and cooling. List each separately when requesting a quote. In an apartment building, ask whether the dryer exhaust is dedicated to your unit or part of a shared system.
How should I prepare?
